Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- A masters degree in a related field.
- Five 5 years of experience in managerial or administrative experience in a college setting; teaching experience including supervisor of faculty.
- Experience in working with multiple partners to provide a service delivery compatible to program goals and objectives.
Experience with the development and management of multiple budgets as well as evidence of experience with grant writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direction and administrative oversight for the teaching and learning activities and operation of the School of Adult Education programs faculty staff and students.
- Reviews evaluates and monitors enrollment retention level attainment and completion as per the FLDOE guidelines and Daytona State College policy and procedural protocol. Provides leadership and direction for data preparation and reporting functions. Works closely with Institutional Research (IR) relative to data task completion and reporting.
- Works with the college community on an ongoing basis in order to manage effective and efficient program operation and flow of service delivery and accountability (i.e. Institutional Research Student Accounts Admissions Registration Advisement Information Technology Marketing etc..
- Supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel; responsible for faculty and staff leadership performance assessment and evaluation; assessment of faculty credentials; the establishment of academic structure faculty and staff orientation support and communication protocol for all faculty. Manages schedules and assignments for all sites. Provides direction and opportunity for professional development for assigned personnel.
- Provides leadership for the annual AE grant preparation and submission; develops annual plan of program operation manages the operating budgets to include two state funded grants (AGE and ESOL) and the assigned portion of the program in Fund 1.
- Works with staff to extend the footprint of the AE program throughout Volusia and Flagler counties with community serving agencies education entities and faithbased institutions to establish the AE footprint promote AE programming and generate recruitment.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Computer skills proficient with work processing software spreadsheets and email communication.
- Experience with student data management systems.
- Experience conducting data analysis tracking and reporting results.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to interpret information and make logical decisions.
