Job Description
When Alfred Fain founded a small Rhode Island tire store in 1924 at the time no one could have predicted how Teknor Apex would become an international custom compounder sought out by companies around the world. Overview:
As an Intern student in our Kentucky Manufacturing facility located in Henderson KY you will gain exposure to internal operations at Teknor Apex through hands on experience in manufacturing engineering and other areas of the company.You understand the communication between functional areas as well as floor personnel and be able to navigate successfully within a plant environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in training program that includes equipment operation and maintenance.
- Assist with writing or updating SOPs
- Aid in key engineering projects.
- Support in anticipated facility renovations.
- Conduct end of term presentation to site leadership team
Qualifications
- Ability to work fulltime
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Engineering prefer Manufacturing or Mechanical.
- Software programming experience is preferred.
- Strong spatial and mechanical reasoning skills.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment helpful.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint etc..
