Clean Line Associate (First Shift)

Location/Division Specific Information:

Our Hillsboro site produces worldclass electron microscopes used by scientists and engineers to drive innovation around the globe. This role works to producehigh quality components used in the worlds finest tools used by researchers like Nobel prize winners and the teams who imaged the COVID19 virus!

Clean Line Associates ensure global customers receive highquality products through meticulous cleaning practices. The Clean Line Associate collaborates with colleagues towards common production goals via detailed manufacturing procedures.

What will you do

  • Conduct assembly work applying prescribed methods using a variety of hand tools fixtures and test equipment.
  • Process machined parts using databases and other office programs to detail the cleaning process.
  • Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions.
  • Assist in selection and/or setup of specialized equipment.
  • Perform a wide variety of troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform equipment setup calibration and preventative maintenance.
  • Follow audit and safety guidelines.
  • Train current and new employees.

How will you get here

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:

  • 1 year of manufacturing and/or parts cleaning experience preferred.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing 6S and continuous improvement a plus.
  • Previous assembly experience in a Clean Room environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Windowsbased and MS Office programs (Word Excel Outlook and Access).

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability in successfully working in a team of 25 colleagues.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to support projects perform training and work efficiently as part of cohesive teams.
  • Selfmotivated selfstarter with strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural language and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPE.
