Positions are now available to join the growing operations leadership team as we develop a Greenfield mine in the vibrant Hunter Valley.

The Maxwell Underground Mine owned byMalabar Resources Ltdhas commenced operations with production planned of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life the underground mine targets high quality coal with the majority being metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Maxwell Underground Mine are currently seeking energetic and skilledUndermanager to join our growing Team. This key role will provide onshift leadership and support through construction of the cross measures drift that will access the Woodlands Hill seam to develop a longwall operation. You will be accountable for leading safety commitment implementing the Safety Management System and enabling delivery of the production plan on shift. The position will report to theProduction Manager and is based at the Maxwell site 10 minutes from the township of Muswellbrook.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Provide visible and proactive safety leadership to achieve zero harm.
• Lead operations on shift to achieve production and maintenance targets.
• Ensure compliance to the Safety Management System and WHS legislation.
• Drive underground standards to establish and maintain a world class longwall operation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role the applicant will possess:

• NSW Undermanager Certificate of Competency and Practicing Certificate.
• Experience in shotfiring activities will be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated success in leadership roles.
• Practical experience in high productivity roadway development and longwall operations.
• Strong communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
