Job Description
Patient Service Supervisor Position Summary:
The Patient Service Supervisor is responsible for supervsion of office personnel and oversight of day to day departmental operations to ensure a positive patient centric experience. This includes the consistent implementation and adherence to organizational policies and procedures as well as oversight of human resource managament such as: payroll time and attendance coaching and mentoring of the teams performance.
Patient Service Supervisor Key Accountabilities:
- Supervises daily office operations to ensure all services are provided in a professional manner to meet the patients customers and providers needs
- Builds a collaborative engaged team for an efficient patient centric experience
- Utilizes Language of Caring in all interactions
- Orients coaches mentors and evaluates all office personnel within assigned area to ensure competency to meet hospitals high standards
- Provides input into the annual budget and operates within the boundaries of an established budget
- Monitors timely reconcilation and release of clinic charges and accurate point of service collection procedures to support revenue cycle metrics
- Ensures process for same day authorizations is consistent with processes in financial clearance
- Actively participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality outcomes
- Ensures location specific metric collection and goal attainment
- Oversees patient appointment processes and ensures patient access goals are attained
Work Schedule: Full time 40 hrs/wk
Work Location: Lutz FL
Patient Service Supervisor Qualifications:
- A minimum of a High School diploma GED Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement
- Three 3 years medical office experience with knowledge of third party payer requirements and authorization experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with strong interpersonal and team building skills; familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions
- Ability to supervise a team of Patient Service Rep employees
- Knowledge of computer systems and electronic medical records
Salary Range: Minimum20.31per hour Maximum32.50per hour.Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
