Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Battery Cell Manufacturing Facility in New Carlisle IN on a fulltime basis.
About Synergy Cells
Synergy Cells is looking for talented individuals to support our Joint Venture between General Motors and Samsung SDI. In this new hightechnology facility Synergy Cells will cultivate the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. With an investment of over $3.5 billion Synergy Cells will be producing battery cells for GM electric vehicles.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to learn new skills as well as influence processes and systems that will sustain industry leading performance. This role will be onsite and support our facility in New Carlisle Indiana.
The Role:
The role of the Facility Manager is to serve as the Single Point of Contact and Building Owner for all the facility and infrastructure needs including Maintenance Housekeeping Roads & Grounds. You will be responsible for the development and administration of service contracts. You will manage a team tasked with maintaining the infrastructure. You will work closely with all our departments to ensure a high level of delivery of facility services.
What Youll Do:
- Responsible for daily interface and coordination of all facilitiesrelated activities to ensure highquality and timely delivery of building maintenance and housekeeping services
- Supervision of facilities staff
- Maintain open communication between facilities and the departments
- Drives strategic and analytical planning to optimize building and facility services guided by industry benchmark standards including space utilization (move service center furniture/ergonomics) energy efficiency Service Agreement deliverables and OnDemand activities
- Ensure the Service Provider is delivering efficient and timely of all facility services in the areas of Maintenance Housekeeping Roads & Grounds services
- Driving continuous improvements and sharing lessons learned
- Led successful planning and of Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles and elements
- Ensuring issue and resolution of daily tenant needs and longerterm projects by pulling in the required resources such as Engineering Resource Management Communications Real Estate Food and Administration Services
- Responsible for meeting our Safety standards including but not limited to: Safety Observation Tours employee safety concerns incident investigation safety module compliance and sentinel events

Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 Years Working within a manufacturing environment
- Prior Salaried Supervisory experience
- Has experience writing Project Appropriation Requests for funding and has maintained project spending information for prior projects ontime and onbudget history a plus
- Prior experience with escalating emerging issues and leads team to resolve quickly and competently
- Proficient in developing maintaining and adhering to Project timelines
- Strong ability to multitask and leverage resources to attain challenging goals
- Lead assigned cost counsel activities
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- MBA/MS Engineering or Business Administration
- Prior project/program management leadership experience
- Previous engineering or maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing
- Knowledge of continuous improvement processes (CIP)
- Working knowledge and relationship with key contacts of major Functional Groups including: GPSC Engineering Quality Finance
