As a Counterparty Credit Risk Associate within Risk Management and Compliance you will be at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. You will help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks and using your expert judgement to solve realworld challenges that impact our company customers and communities.
Job responsibilities
- Build and maintaining Counterparty risk monitoring frameworks for existing metrics and new emerging risks
- Contribute to BAU stress testing Regulatory and Annual CCAR exercises which includes detailed Risk Identification Scenario Design and Stress Testing on traded products
- Propose thresholds and limits to monitor firm wide concentrations trends stress behavior and impacts on limits/risk appetite
- Contribute to firmwide projects around key counterparty credit exposure metrics and technical enhancement
- Develop deep dives and touch points with partners in risk with respect to counterparty credit exposure/risks providing guidance and training to Credit Officers on material methodology releases or model limitations and helping guide methodology and policy updates
- Manage and contribute to firmwide projects around key counterparty credit exposure metrics & technical enhancements
- Drive outcomes in identifying analyzing monitoring and reporting on inherent risks within counterparty exposures selfstarter
- Formulate views around product risk appetite and be able to review and challenge business stakeholders risk related questions
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Undergraduate degree with 3 years of relevant work experience; Bachelors degree in a discipline such as Financial Engineering Mathematics Physics Statistics Engineering Finance and/or Economics.
- Knowledge of risk management including scenario analysis and stress testing. Good understanding of quantitative concepts relating to credit exposure risk sensitivity and stress testing. Familiarity with NCMR SIMM VaR or other margin methodologies.
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of global financial markets and strong intuition regarding their impact on our business.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills; inquisitive nature and comfort in challenging current practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be leveraged in executive governance and senior management forums.
- Must be able to work under pressure and deliver on multiple tight timesensitive timelines.
- Innovative and creative thinking. Ability to improve current processes and achieve efficiencies.
- Prior experience with coding and data visualization tools such as Python Alteryx SQL and Tableau.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience in Credit Trading or Trading middle office functions. Masters degree CFA CQF or FRM designations are preferred.
- Sufficient product knowledge and quantitative skills with a broad range of traded asset classes and investment strategies are a plus.
