Job Summary:

The Battery Technician Apprentice is for individuals with a passion for renewable energy and a desire to pursue a career in the battery storage industry. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians and engineers to gain practical experience in battery installation maintenance troubleshooting and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training and Development:

    • Participate in training programs workshops and onthejob learning experiences to develop technical skills and knowledge of battery energy storage systems.

    • Learn about battery technologies components installation procedures and safety protocols under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors.

  • Installation and Maintenance:

    • Assist in the installation assembly and wiring of battery energy storage systems at residential commercial and industrial sites.

    • Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks inspections and testing of battery systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Troubleshooting and Repair:

    • Gain experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting battery system issues identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems.

    • Assist in repairing or replacing faulty components conducting tests and verifying system functionality to restore operation.

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to safety guidelines procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.

    • Learn to recognize and mitigate potential hazards associated with battery installation handling and maintenance activities.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Assist in maintaining accurate records documentation and service reports related to battery installations maintenance activities and customer interactions.

    • Learn to communicate effectively with supervisors team members and customers to provide updates on work progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; technical education or vocational training in electrical engineering renewable energy or related field preferred.

  • Strong interest in renewable energy technologies battery storage systems and sustainable practices.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical principles circuits and components preferred.

  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions and environments.

  • Willingness to learn adapt and take on new challenges in a dynamic and fastpaced industry.

  • MUST HAVE A VALID TDLR APPRENTICE LICENSE

  • MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH SOLAR BATTERIES
