Overall Job Summary:
Complete tasks assigned by the GM as a member of the baking and pastry department.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for efficient production
- Must understand basic baking methods including but not limited to mousses custards French macarons caramel meringues buttercreams
- Proficient piping skillsFrench macarons filling mousse cups rosettes writing on cakes/eclairs borders on cakes
- Tart production
- Filling choux
- Building tortes/petit fours/French butter cookies
- Cutting precisely and accurately
- Understanding proper methods/times for proofing yeasted items
- Understanding proper baking times
- Cake decorating of both buttercream and fondant cakes as well as wedding cakes
The Success Patterns for this position are:
- Experience working in customer service and/or the foodservice/hospitality industry preferred
- Has a reputation for giving great service to guests and coworkers
- Can handle multiple tasks at one time
- Has good problem solving skills
- Has strong interpersonal skills
