Job Description

Instructional Technology Specialist Licensure or equivalentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work cooperatively with students staff andadministratorsComfortable providing professional development in a variousformatsStrong organizational skills flexibility and dependabilityGeneral Responsibilities: To provide effective instruction aligned to K5 DLCS CurriculumFrameworks and to work collaboratively for the purposes of enhancingand improving DLCS curriculum implementation.Performance Responsibilities:Elementary Instructional Technology Specialist 0.8 FTE) Responsible for delivering instruction aligned to Digital Learning Computer ScienceCurriculum Frameworks Plans a program of study that as much as possible meets the individual needs interestsand abilities of the students. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmonywith the goals establishes clear objectives for all lessons units and projects tocommunicate these objectives to students. Works with all students grades K5 Regularly assess student learning through both formative and summative assessments Maintains classroom environment conducive to learning Will take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment andmaterials within the instructional technology classroom Works collaboratively with colleagues Assist in the testing of software and hardware in educational environments Enhance collaborative approaches that support new instructional methodologies Assist in the development implementation of district curricula Enrich educational practices and programs Maintains accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy andadministrative regulation.Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.Franklin Public Schools is committed to maintaining an environment that is free from discrimination and harassment in accordance with state and federal law including based on age race color religion national origin pregnancy pregnancyrelated status gender identity sexual orientation sexual harassment veteran status political affiliation genetic information and/or disability.
