Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a fulltime clinical faculty member specializing in clinical care of patients with lung disease. This position will be at the Assistant or Associate level without tenure due to funding (WOT) commensurate with experience and qualifications in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch and the Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Department of Medicine at UW.
Fred Hutch and UW faculty engage in service research and teaching. This position will focus primarily on ambulatory clinical care of patients with lung disease at a worldrenowned comprehensive cancer center. We seek a highly motivated individual committed to patient care and advancing the mission of Fred Hutch through additional administrative research and teaching opportunities. The Fred Hutch has comprehensive pulmonary diagnostic facilities including a stateofthe art procedure suite for bronchoscopy as well as a fullservice Pulmonary Function Laboratory. Specifically this individual will evaluate and manage patients in Pulmonary ambulatory service lines primarily in the Pulmonary Consult Clinic with opportunities to attend in the Lung Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Clinic (LCEDPC). The Pulmonary Consult Clinic manages clinical concerns of (but are not limited to) lung complications of hematopoietic cell transplantation including lung graftversushost disease pneumonitis from cancer immunotherapies and immunocompromised host lung infection as well as general pulmonary disease. The LCEDPC serves as the multidisciplinary lung nodule management and advanced bronchoscopy clinic for the UW and Fred Hutch. Clinical responsibilities will include diagnostic bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing interpretation. The Fred Hutch Pulmonary group is committed to providing outstanding patient care advanced by cutting edge research trials in the field of lung cancer diagnostics and lung complications after stem cell transplantation and cancer therapies.
This position will also involve participation in the administrative research and instructional activities of the Clinical Research Division and the UW PCCSM Division. A candidate with an interest in QI and developing clinical services as to meet the growing need for pulmonary consultative services will be a valuable asset to the division. There is opportunity for the candidate to conduct clinical research with existing comprehensive clinical databases and ongoing prospective studies. Teaching responsibilities involve oversight of PCCSM Fellows during their outpatient clinical rotation or continuity clinics and lectures at various Fred Hutch conferences targeted for Hematology/Oncology faculty and midlevel providers. The position will involve significant interaction with colleagues in Infectious Diseases Heme/Onc and Marrow Transplantation as well as PCCSM colleagues across the UW enterprise. This position will be based at the South Lake Union main campus but may require the incumbent to participate in inpatient consultative services at UWMCMontlake.
The primary annual appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record in clinical care with a primary focus on lung disease. Prior extensive experience with cancer and bone marrow transplant patients is not necessary.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $312000.00 to $358000.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank from $326000.00 to $375000.00.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Associate Professor rank. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors including degree specialty clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and/or signon bonus.
