Job Description

Stock Administrator

Job Overview:

The Stock (Equities/Capital Markets) Administrator is responsible for managing and processing stockrelated transactions ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing operational support for equity trading settlement and reporting activities. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and an understanding of capital markets stock administration and financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Carta Management:

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports with a particular focus on equity and capital markets.
    • Utilize Carta software to manage track and report on financial transactions and stock (equity) allocations.
    • Generate accurate equityrelated financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Auditing & Compliance:

    • Assist in the audit process collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards.
    • Review and evaluate financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
    • Coordinate the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Journal Entries & Accounting:

    • Prepare and record journal entries for various financial transactions related to equity and capital market activities.
    • Ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
    • Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate reporting and minimize discrepancies.
  • Capital Markets Support:

    • Assist in the daily operations related to equities stock transactions and capital market activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of securities trades and other equity transactions in compliance with market regulations.
    • Provide support for trade settlements and reconciliations.
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other departments including finance operations and legal to ensure alignment on financial activities.
    • Assist with adhoc financial analysis and reporting requests from senior management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience & Knowledge:

    • Proven experience in financial reporting auditing and accounting with a strong understanding of equities and capital markets.
    • Handson experience with Carta for financial reporting and equity management.
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles and experience in preparing journal entries.
    • Experience with auditing processes and understanding of financial compliance requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel (advanced functions such as vlookups pivot tables etc..
    • Familiarity with financial management software and systems including Carta.
  • Attention to Detail:

    • Strong attention to detail with an ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial reporting and journal entries.
  • ProblemSolving & Analytical Skills:

    • Ability to analyze complex financial data identify trends and provide actionable insights.
    • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
    • Professional certifications (e.g. CPA ACA) or pursuing them is a plus.
  • Experience Level:

    • 2 5 years of experience in a financial or capital markets environment with a focus on equities and financial reporting

Work Location:Chennai
Shift Time: 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST
