The mandate of City Wide Programs Aquatics & Specialized Services is to provide strategic vision and innovative leadership in managing customer centric sports physical activity aquatics and recreation venues programs and services for all ages including the management of facilities and/or land and for the delivery of indoor and outdoor recreation programs and services. This Service provides city wide access to adapted therapeutic and integrated recreation programs giving children youth and adults with special needs the opportunity to participate in community recreation.
Under the guidance of a Program Coordinator and Wading Pool Supervisor/Director you are responsible for the daily operation of the wading pool program within the Citys parks. You follow all guidelines policies & procedures including all safety guidelines set by the branch. This includes ensuring the park is well maintained and safe for users guarding of participants in the wading pool/area light maintenance monitoring water quality levels delivering of age appropriate activities and events administrative duties and responding to public inquiries.
High School Student Minimum Grade 10 No related experience is required
Some experience working with children (babysitting after school programs L.I.T. program volunteer experience)
