Job Description

The start date of this position will be July 1 2025. This is a 230 day contract.

Rate of Pay:TBD for theschool year. Currently $114379.44 $132712.41 DOE

Insurance:Generous Health dental and vision contribution from the district currently up to $2179 (based upon family coverage) TBD for.

PERS Retirement:The district assumes and pays the 6 average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.

Retiree Benefits: An administrator who retires from KFCS and from PERS with at least ten consecutive years of experience as an administrator in the district immediately prior to retirement will receivethe following retirement benefits:

One percent 1 of the administrators final base salary per month for a total of eightfour 84 months.

AND

Medical insurance premiums for the administrator and spouse (if necessary) for a total of eightyfour 84 months. When an administrator retires the District will contribute up to the employee only cap orthe employeespouse cap. Should the district contribution be insufficient to pay for the monthly cost of the insurance then the parties agree that the excess insurance premium contribution will be made bythe retiree.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Design and implement District and school level systems to reduce
disrupted learning vicarious trauma educator burnout improve teacher effectiveness
collaboration school culture and student achievement.

Supports the effective implementation of the districts Counseling and Behavior Intervention vision.

Responsible for the development adaption and of counseling behavior and instructional initiatives within schools and supports district and school staff in promoting students social emotional and behavioraldevelopment through curriculum and assessment. Working in cooperation with school staffparents and community partners responsible for coordinating internal and external resourcesto meet the needs of students and contribute to positive behavioral health and wellness acrossschools.
Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations.


EDUCATION:

Currently must hold or have the ability to obtain an Oregon Administrative license.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
K12 Comprehensive Counseling and Behavior Systems Design and Implementation:
Design and implement districtwide school improvement systems to meet students and
educators social and emotional needs; increase investment and achievement of all students;and increase educator investment and collaboration.
Provide direction and coordination for the effective implementation of the districts social andemotional learning initiatives by which students and adults develop fundamental emotional and social competencies and experiences.
Build the capacity of the staff and schools to implement comprehensive counseling and
behavior programs and approaches.
Review revise and monitor the Districts Comprehensive Counseling & Guidance Program to
align with ODE Comprehensive Counseling Model.
Assist with coordination and serve as district Crisis Team Leader and representative from KFCS.
Assist with coordination of Student Threat Assessments and serve as Student Threat Assessment Team Leader.
Coordinate and serve as the Suicide Prevention Intervention and Postvention Team Leader andrepresentative from KFCS.
Coordinate and serve as district liaison between the district and outside mental health
organizationsand attend community meetings to represent KFCS.
Collaborate with staff to support teaching approaches that are reflective of best practices
around student socialemotional development.
Collaborate with school wide behavior teams to ensure that school discipline systems are
reflective of best practices for developing positive climate and culture and effective social andemotional development of students.
Coordinate and monitor the implementation of Tier II III and IV behavior support plans.
Support school staff with reallocation of resources (including time) according to students andeducators needs and to increase motivation and efficacy.
Create feedback loops to tighten and align all systems.
Assess systems implementation performance and advise and provide direction for all
stakeholders.
In collaboration with teacher leaders plan coordinate and/or provide professional development related to counseling and behavior interventions to all District staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess or be eligible for a valid and appropriate state of Oregon administrative license
At least five 5 years of counseling mental health behavior interventionist and/or related
experience preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with the Director of Special Services building administrators supervise and
evaluate all school counselors school social workers social skills builders child development
specialists contracted community mental health providers and additional staff as assigned by the superintendent across all schools.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Trauma Informed Practices (Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences historical traumaand additional sources of childhood trauma)
American School Counseling Model Best Practices
Restorative Justice Practices
Statutory and regulatory requirements in area of responsibility
Suicide Prevention Intervention and Postvention Practices
Student Threat Assessment Team and best practices
Best Practice Behavior Support Systems and Implementation
Provide coaching to educational leadership administrative direction supervision and technicalsupport to schools and District.
Work cooperatively with director administrators KFCS employees and the general public.
Strong organizational skills and flexibility with the ability to handle multiple projects and
responsibilities simultaneously while working independently.
Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities.
Communicate with individuals and groups in a facetoface setting or by telephone.
Establish operational standards and systems for the District.
Produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence constructionpunctuation and grammar.

This position may require the use of personal or District vehicles on District business

Performs other essentials and marginal functions as assigned.
Engage in recruiting screening selecting and assigning staff.
Participate in District departmental administrative and other meetings as assigned.
Work with District Office staff to resolve school district and other responsibilities as
assigned.
Keep directors and principals informed of school successes and concerns.
Willingness to be a contributing member of a highly effective team by demonstrating
commitment flexibility positivity collaboration and sense of humor.
Submits reports records and assignments promptly and effectively meeting all district
timelines.
Attends and participates in weekly department meetings.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The administrator will work beyond an eighthour day and a fiveday week to take care of dailywork attend meetings conferences and district/school activities.

The administrator must have excellent communication problemsolving and smallgroup process skills.

Confidentiality is crucial.

Workloads are heavy and timelines can be unreasonably short.
