Job & Division Summary:
This position is for a candidate responsible for Electrical & instrumentation engineering support to projects for Ingersoll Rand compressor Products and Engineering activities as directed by Tech Lead. Liaise directly with engineering team in global location and conduct System Level Design delivery tasks as warranted by the Project objectives. Create instrument specifications wiring schemactic and technical documentation in adherence to industry standards. Packaging of centrifugal compressor rotary etc.
Responsibilities
- Electrical and Instrumentation support for Rotating equipment packages for oil and Gas Chemical Industries.
- Work with project partners located in Europe to understand project requirements and deliver electrical and instrumentation engineering documents data sheets and drawings.
- Work with suppliers and customers to finalize P&ID and electricalinstrumentation design.
- Develop project tracking mechanisms and create project plans for each project in alignment with master schedule developed by project partners.
- Ensure delivery of projects as committed with very high on time delivery (OTD) and First Pass Yield (FPY).
Mandatory Skills
- 3 Years of Handson experience in engineering selection and release of field instrumentation required as per customer specifications.
- 3 Years of experience in interpreting P&ID creating power and control wiring schematics using AutoCAD for control panels instrumentation systems in oil and gas industry.
- Excellent interpretation of ATEX IECEx IEC UL standards.
- 3 Years of experience in creating deliverables but not limited to instrument data sheet I/O List Instrument index Cable schedule Cause & effect matrix Control narrative Junction box schedule etc.
Desired skills:
- Experience in understanding creating and modifying SLD Detailed wiring schematics control panel drawings and specifications.
- Industry knowledge in selection of PLC and I/O modules for specific applications.
- Experience in electrical calculations including power load cable sizing incoming protection devices.
- Experience in reviewing pre and post order documents related to electrical and instrumentation devices.
- Knowledge of LV MV HV motors and starters selection.
- Experience in control valves and positioners
- Good understanding of analog communication protocols like HART and FF.
- Experience of designing instrumentation and electrical systems of large equipment used in petrochemical pharmaceutical food beverage fertilizer Automobile painting or similar process industry.
Basic Qualifications
- Masters / Bachelors degree in Instrumentation / Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering.
- Overall experience of 34 years in relevant field.
