2nd Shift: MonFri 2:00 PM 10:30 PM

Are you an exceptionally skilled technician looking to play a crucial role in a worldclass team Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Sr Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician and contribute to innovative solutions that strictly adhere to the highest standards!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all actions related to the preventive maintenance program of the Company
  • Intervene in production issues related to mechanical pneumatic and electrical maintenance
  • Perform tooling changes machine setups and make inprocess adjustments
  • Rebuild calibrate and configure sealing components and controls
  • Document clear and detailed information regarding machine downtime repairs and critical process controls
  • Assist with the startup and shutdown of machines
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects
  • Participate in equipment installation
  • Test equipment to assure efficiency and performance needs are met
  • Maintain repair and rebuild various production machines and equipment
  • Follow all safety and cGMP requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Postsecondary education degree with a combination of 2 years of experience or 4 years of experience within a related field
  • Strong mechanical competence
  • Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment based on industrial process controls and pneumatics PLC Programmable Logic Controllers reed switches valves relays temperature controllers and solenoids
  • Understand and perform LOTO procedures
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
  • Good verbal/written communication
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow complex procedures
  • Attention to detail while maintaining a quality product
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to understand and follow various guidelines and working procedures
  • Strong organizational skills

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced controlled cleanroom environment 8 hours a day with additional overtime as required for production schedule adherence
  • The clean room is controlled environment for temperature and humidity having low ambient noise
  • Specific gowning is required including gloves hair & beard net face cover safety glasses with no makeup/jewelry and the like
  • Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene
  • Must have the ability to do the following activities:
  • Follow all safety protocols
  • Stand and move about including reaching bending stooping grasping
  • Use hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping grasping pushing and pulling
  • Infrequently lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds max unassisted
