Job Description
RPO Recruitments client is looking for a Legal Advisor to join their team in Paarl Western Cape. The ideal candidate will provide legal compliance and corporate governance support ensuring regulatory adherence and mitigating legal risks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial matters.
- Draft review and negotiate various legal agreements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including statutory filings.
- Oversee litigation processes and collaborate with external counsel.
- Support board meeting planning agenda preparation and document circulation.
- Keep abreast of relevant legal and governance updates.
Requirements:
- LLB degree and admitted legal practitioner.
- Minimum 5 years experience in corporate and commercial law.
- Strong knowledge of governance frameworks (Companies Act Consumer Protection Act King IV JSE regulations).
- Experience in compliance corporate secretarial work and regulatory submissions.
- Excellent attention to detail organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word).
