The Opportunity
Due to the continued growth of the business Black Cat Civil is seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Safety professional to join our team with a key focus on the management and development of our Safety systems working within a highly skilled projects team in the Northern Territory.
The successful applicant will provide advice guidance and support for a BCC project based in the Northern Territory. This role is offered as a FIFO from Cairns to site working a 2 and 1 roster.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
Advise & coach operational managers supervisors and workers in regard to achieving compliance and best practice for WHS.
Facilitate and followup incident reporting and close out NCRs.
Participate in internal and external auditing.
Assist in the implementation of best practice WHS workers compensation and injury management systems to continually improve current and future performance
Desired skills & experience:
We want people who are professional innovative committed and looking to be challenged. To be successful you will require:
Certificate IV Diploma and/or tertiary qualifications in WHS;
Ability to work a FIFO 2/1 Roster
Reside within the Cairns region
Excellent knowledge of the WHS preferably in a construction;
The ability to provide leadership direction and support to all team members.
