Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union is seeking dynamic studentcentered Registered Nurses (RNs) for theschool year and beyond. The position comes with full benefits and a $1000 stipend to offset costs associated with holding a Vermont RN and Vermont Agency of Education license. The member school districts for the Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union are located in Craftsbury Greensboro Hardwick and Woodbury. The location assignments for next year are still to be determined. The ideal candidates will have the following qualifications: Current valid Vermont RN license CPR and First Aid certified Several years of clinical experience that includes pediatric and community/familycentered nursing or interest in pediatrics and willingness to learn. Must work well as part of a nursing team to care for all OSSU students. Areas of student health care responsibilities include: Assessment First aid Health screening Medication administration Assist in communicable disease control Immunization assessment Attend student meetings as necessary Assessment and care of students with special needs Additional areas of responsibilities include: Compilation of statistical information Maintenance of health and medication records/logs Accident reporting Member of the Wellness and Safety Teams Preparation of required state reports Providing staff and parents with information on school health policies and other pertinent health resource information Providing interpretation of health information to staff and parents Promoting a healthy school environmentOrleans Southwest Supervisory Union (OSSU) serves schoolage children in the towns of Craftsbury Greensboro Hardwick Stannard Wolcott and Woodbury.
