Our data centers are the backbone of our IT operations and Technology Services is seeking an innovative Senior Data Center Facilities & Infrastructure Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of our data center.
As a Senior Data Center Facilities & Infrastructure Engineer you will oversee daily operations manage HVAC and electrical systems and ensure an optimal environment for our critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for strategic planning equipping the data center for new initiatives and developing disaster recovery plans to maintain business continuity. With your extensive experience and technical expertise you will manage and maintain our electrical systems UPS (up to 2000 kVA) generators and HVAC systems utilizing advanced monitoring and automation tools. Your strong problemsolving abilities will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to power and cooling systems. Your excellent communication and collaboration skills will enable you to work effectively with facility management teams vendors and other stakeholders ensuring the successful of projects.

The successful candidate will have extensive handson experience in data center facility operations including power distribution cooling systems and environmental controls. Experience in a senior or leadership role is highly preferred.
Heres a glimpse of what youll do:
Design and implement data center infrastructure including servers storage networking and cooling systems.
Manage critical infrastructure projects including expansions and upgrades.
Provide support for HVAC and electrical systems to ensure an optimal environment for data center equipment and technology.
Maintain and monitor data center equipment ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
Work closely with crossfunctional teams to support data center functions and various projects and initiatives.
Mentor junior engineers in infrastructure best practices

Salary Range: $88000 $105000 annually
Schedule: Monday Friday onsite position in College Station Texas. This position must participate in the afterhours oncall rotation. The selected candidate would be expected to take emergency calls on evenings weekends and holidays as . This position is considered essential when the University declares an emergency campus closure class cancellation etc. and therefore may be to report to work and remain on duty unless/until relieved by their direct supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and twelve years of related experience
A wellqualified candidate would possess at least one of the following:
Bachelors or Masters degree: Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Extensive handson experience with data center facility operations including power distribution cooling systems and environmental controls.
Technical expertise in managing and maintaining electrical systems UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) generators and HVAC systems.
Familiarity with advanced monitoring and automation tools.
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to power and cooling systems.
Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
Indepth understanding of data center infrastructure standards and best practices such as ASHRAE guidelines for HVAC and Uptime Institute standards for power systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong project management skills including experience with facility expansions or large IT implementations and upgrades.
Commitment to continuous learning and innovation with the ability to drive efficiency improvements.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Manager (CDCFO) Certified Data Centre Specialist (CDCS) or advanced certifications in HVAC and power systems.
