Job Description Summary
Student Intern
Essential Functions
Supports the Project Manager in one or more of the following: managing planning design or construction projects such as treatment plants pumping stations transmission projects or other facilities; Management of projects to deliver organizational program or corporate benefits and improvements Assisting a senior project manager with larger projects Under the guidance of the Project Manager consults and works with team members from various internal organizations in the administration of consultant Architect/Engineer (A/E) and construction contracts and their associated procurement mechanisms Supports project manager in reviewing project technical management and budgetary plans ensuring project compliance with corporate policy and technical specifications Assists in reviewing and approving monthly and final payments to A/Es contractors and vendors Participates in project teams including management review reengineering and policy groups Assists with reviews negotiations and finalization of contracts and change orders Assists with preparation or monitoring of project schedules using PERT CPM Bar Chart or other methods Participates in meetings and assists with reviewing and preparing meeting notes Assists with development and implementation of project management strategic plans and resultant monitoring mechanisms
Work Schedule
Monday Friday: 8:00am 5:00pm
