Halifax Water is Atlantic Canadas largest water utility providing integrated water wastewater and stormwater utility for more than 106000 customers daily. For more than 70 years we have been proud stewards of the water cycle providing clean water to customers and safely conveying it back to the source. We are currently hiring for a Senior Communications Advisor Internal/Employee Engagement. This regular opportunity in the Administration Department has full time hours.

What youll do
Responsibilities
As the Senior Communications Advisor Internal/Employee Engagement you will:
- Support Halifax Waters inclusive and equitable environment expressing the organizations voice as well as creating and supporting opportunities for employee engagement.
- This includes: creating and developing content that informs and engages employees across various platforms including an internal newsletter intranet site internal emails videos employee meetings presentations publications for internal chat networks etc.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal communication strategies and plans that align with the organizations goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to convey the organizations vision progress and current state of affairs in a compelling and transparent manner.
- Coordinate creating updating and maintaining visual design and themes for internal communication channels.
- Conduct research to understand employee needs and improve internal communication capabilities and user experience.
- Oversee the authoring and proper use of online channels for official company news and updates.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internal communications such as content demand and usage.
What youll need
Qualifications
To do this job you need:
- University degree in Public Relations Communications or a related field
- A minimum of five years relevant experience in internal communication public relations or a related field
- This position requires experience in developing designing and implementing clear consistent and engaging employee communication and content strategies
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
