arXiv resides in Cornell Tech with staff and faculty collaborations spanning the Ithaca and New York City campuses. Synergies between arXiv and Cornell Tech include cutting edge research on the technical challenges of scientific communication and collaboration such as how to build better recommender systems using advanced machine learning the societal aspects of computing and data science humancentered design platform content moderation and social networks.
Position Summary

Reporting to the arXiv Technical Director the Software Engineer will participate in the new arXiv development projects and ongoing maintenance.

This is a fulltime benefitseligible 3year term position with the possibility of renewal. This is a hybrid or fully onsite position with primary work location at the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City. There is some flexibility for fully remote work. Flexible work schedules are subject to change.
