This supervisor position will cover portions of Sanford Ambulance Hillsboro and Sanford Ambulance Fargo NonEmergency Ambulance Transport (NEAT) department.Summary
Daily duties for the Supervisor of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Operations may consist of but not limited to coordinating the scheduling of emergency medical systems and operations overseeing the orientation of new staff yearly licensure/credentialing dealing with employee issues/behaviors assisting with hiring/termination maintaining transport equipment/checklists and peer reviews.Job Description
Demonstrates the ability to write and verbalize goals objectives and document outcomes. Assists with evaluating the performance of current employees.
Strong effective interpersonal skills and be able to teach and develop the emergency management services group. Works independently and demonstrate accountability to define goals and objectives to achieve desired outcomes. Knowledge of relevant equipment policies and procedures.
Strong commitment and provides outstanding services and have a clear customer focus. Demonstrates strength in negotiation skills creativity flexibility and innovative in adapting the program to changing customer needs.
Maintain all credentials and have strong clinical skills. Keeps the management team informed on activities within the group such as but not limited to the progress on projects. Attends training classes to maintain national certification state licensure trade and education conferences and keep abreast of new developments in the field or maintain existing knowledge.
Depending on location of position work hours will vary depending on patient needs. This may include overtime call backup call nights days weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Postsecondary education (Associates or Bachelors degree) preferred.
Three years experience in ambulance services preferred. Additionally managerial experience preferred.
Depending on state requirements individuals may need to be nationally registered and may need to have a state license or
additional licensures as required. Additional training provided/workshops and staff meetings are to be attended as per policy.
Must possess a valid Drivers License and have a good driving record.
When working in Airmed a drivers license is not required.
