Kennett Consolidated School District is seeking a dynamic teacher who will nurture prepare and empower ALL students and staff to succeed in their academic social and emotional journey.Ateacher who exhibits a belief in the importance of relationships and resiliency through a studentcentered approach will be able to successfully support the districts mission and vision.
Kennettsuniquely diverse student population makes applicants considered to be fluent or bilingual highly sought. Applicants with at least three 3 Spanish courses at the college/university level or who have a command of conversational Spanish are encouraged to apply.
POSITION TITLE: MathTeacher
REPORTS TO: Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:Must hold an active PA secondary math certification 712;
must be able to obtain clean clearances (Actsand 168;
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Participate in curriculum review and design.
Implementa variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives.
Diagnose and evaluates student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner.
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
Effectively implement district initiatives.
Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers.
