Are you interested in joining a dynamic inclusive and growing professional organization We are looking for a Principal Radar Systems Engineerto support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. The MDS department provides subject matter expertise for concept development architectural design requirements generation & flowdown modeling and simulation systems analysis integration test and evaluation of worldclass Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people processes technology and performance.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

You will be working as part of a team to define radar system requirements design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation. Some specific responsibilities include:

• Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements

• Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions

• Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance

• Presenting plans designs and system performance to peers internal leadership and external customers

• Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in field of engineering or related technical discipline

• Experience with Battle Management command Control Communications Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems Radar Systems or signal processing techniques

• Experience with developing documenting and maintaining processes methods and tools

• Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues

• Experience working with Matlab C/C Java or DOORS

• Strong analytic technical and problemsolving skills

• Experience with MS Office Suite

• Experience with system level requirements development documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture

• Experience with radar system concepts; detection discrimination track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance

• Experience with the development and coding of system models algorithms test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance

• Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements determination development and implementation

• Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement

• Previous military service

• Excellent communication technical writing oral presentation and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs

• Strong analytic technical and problemsolving skills

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
