Peer Intervention Trainer Parttime
Location: Texas / Colorado / Willing to travel regularly
Compensation: This position is for those looking to become trainers on a parttime basis. Compensation will be based on location experience and amount of hours dedicated to the position.

The OverwatchProject is building the equivalent of the Friends Dont Let Friends DriveDrunk campaign for veterans and service members only instead of talking aboutalcohol and vehicles we are focused on guns and suicide. Through thisevidencebased initiative we save lives by transforming the conversation aboutfirearms and suicide prevention through a comprehensive peerinterventionprogram that includes direct training and community engagement crafted in ablunt authentic voice.We are currently seeking trainers to work on a parttime basis depending on location.We encourage you to apply and indicate in your cover letter whether you are interested in contract parttime or fulltime positions.
What Youll Do
Peer Intervention Trainerswho report to the Executive Director are responsible for the following:
- Deliver peer intervention trainingpresentations on firearms and suicide prevention for veterans service membersfamily members and others connected to the military and veteran community
- Deliver trainings to audiences thatrange from 20150
- Manage training schedules and anyneeded travel logistics
- Training schedule will depend onlocation and availability of trainer

NecessarySkills Experiences and Qualities:

Comfortabletraining and presenting in a variety of environments including nonclassroomsettings such as gun ranges and outdoor events
