Job Description
The Finance & Accounting team is responsible for providing financial information. From financial accounting to budgeting to financial planning the department supports business planning and decisionmaking.
About Your Compensation
Compensation for this position starts at $16.00/Hour and with demonstrated experience and qualifications candidates may earn up to $17.00/Hour.
About Your Work Day
- Assists in our Finance office with daily cash processing and customer service duties.
- Complete daily processing of cash receipts from various locations on the grounds.
- Cash handling and check cashing for patrons on the grounds.
- Accounts Payable processing and filing.
- Assist with any other duties as needed and deemed appropriate by Finance Office Manager and Director of Accounting.

About Your Schedule
Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules full and parttime for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. Seasonal employment may be available earlier (preseason) and beyond season (postseason) based on business needs and candidate availability. Schedules typically include evenings weekends and/or holidays as a requirement.
While you will confirm your final schedule with management at the time of an interview and offer of employment you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position:
Will be scheduled to work on average 35hours/week. Scheduled hours may include an occasional Saturday morning and may also include evenings and holidays based on business needs.
