We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer with mining experience to join our clients team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading mining company contributing to the design installation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems. The role requires a handson professional with a strong background in the heavy industry and compliance with mining regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Design install and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for mining operations.
Ensure compliance with relevant mining regulations and safety standards.
Conduct faultfinding troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on electrical and control systems.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize plant and equipment performance.
Assist with the commissioning of new equipment and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
Develop and implement E&I engineering solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
Prepare technical documentation reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
About You:
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
Minimum years of experience in an E&I role within the mining or heavy industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems PLCs SCADA and instrumentation.
Familiarity with Australian mining standards and industry best practices (if applicable).
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong knowledge of automation and control systems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong safety focus and understanding of mining health & safety regulations.
