Job Title: Consultant Anesthesiologist
Location: Abuja Nigeria
Salary: 2M 2.5M monthly
Accommodation: Available
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering anesthesia before during and after surgical procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort. The Consultant Anesthesiologist will work closely with surgeons physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients medical history and determine appropriate anesthesia plans.

Administer general regional or local anesthesia before surgical or medical procedures.

Monitor patients during surgery and adjust anesthesia as needed to ensure safety.

Manage postoperative pain relief and monitor recovery from anesthesia.

Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management cardiopulmonary resuscitation or advanced life support.
-
Supervise and train junior anesthesiology staff or residents.

Maintain accurate documentation of all anesthesiarelated procedures and patient records.

Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards.

Collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:

Medical degree (MBBS MBChB or equivalent).

Postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology (e.g. FWACS FMCA or equivalent).

Valid medical license and registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (or applicable body).

Minimum of 5 years postfellowship experience in anesthesiology with a proven track record of clinical excellence.

Advanced knowledge of anesthetic equipment medications and techniques.

Strong decisionmaking communication and teamwork skills.
