Internal Sales Steel Fabrication Industry
Krugersdorp Gauteng
An established engineering and fabrication company based in Krugersdorp is seeking a motivated and technically minded Internal Sales Representative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in structural steel or piping who can interpret technical drawings and provide accurate cost estimations to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming client inquiries and preparing accurate quotations based on technical drawings or item descriptions
- Liaising with the workshop and production team to gather the correct specifications and ensure pricing aligns with production capabilities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through effective communication and technical support
- Interpreting structural steel and pipework drawings to provide reliable costing and turnaround times
- Supporting the sales and operations team with general administrative and coordination tasks
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings (structural steel and/or piping)
- Previous experience in internal sales estimating or quoting within a fabrication or engineering environment
- Basic understanding of costing principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
- Computer literate with good communication skills
- A proactive servicedriven attitude
Advantageous:
- Experience in a steel fabrication or engineering manufacturing environment
- Exposure to plasma cutting rolling grating or related services will be beneficial
