As we continue to grow our business and enhance our service offerings locally we are eagerly seeking a highly motivated technically competent Mechanical Technologistwithin Atlantic Canada.

Your work environment at EXP

In this role youll be joining our Fredericton office while also taking advantage of our flexiblehybrid work model. In recent years we have prioritized significant investments in our physical office space to provide a bright vibrant highly functional technologically advanced and collaborative working environment for our team.

Regardless of your physical location you will have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with EXPs multidisciplinary team from within the region and across the company on some of Atlantic Canadas largest and most exciting projects! If desired you will also be given the opportunity to contribute to unique and challenging projects outside of Atlantic Canada as well.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of building systems and detailing with the ability to work independently developing and coordinating contract documents and document checking.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with the Project Manager Engineer Architects and other Technical and Design Staff.
  • Complete technical drawings in Revit.

What your experience looks like

  • 5 years experience working as a Mechanical Technologist.
  • Graduation from a Mechanical Engineering Technology program accredited by theCanadian Technology Accreditation Board/Technology Accreditations Canada a national accreditation organization for engineering technology and applied science professions.
  • Must be eligible for membership by NBSCETT the certifying organization for Engineering/Applied Science Technicians and Technologists in New Brunswick
  • Proficient in Revit AutoCAD and Civil 3D producing technical documents and construction drawings.
  • Develop layouts and design of mechanical building systems such as heating ventilation and air conditioning fire protection systems plumbing and drainage systems control systems and specialized systems (compressed air medical gases natural gas fuel oil etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of architectural and mechanical standards building sciences construction technologies and practices.
  • Ability to work with a team to produce working drawings and 3D models of mechanical designs for innovative multidisciplinary projects.
  • Knowledge of the national building codes ASHRAE CSA and NFPA standards
  • Strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedicated to meeting project deadlines and working efficiently.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize independently.
  • Ability to manage several tasks on multiple projects simultaneously.
