Description
The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible administering the basic daytoday food & beverage service duties such as opening and closing answering calls taking food & beverage orders and preparing meals and beverages. The Food & Beverage Attendant is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the grill dining area throughout his/her shift
Examples of Duties
- Take orders and serve customers; responsible for handling all cash and credit card transactions for all food and beverage purchases.
- Ensure collection and recording receipt of appropriate payment (cash credit card transactions); Handle and record cash and credit card transactions in accordance with company and City procedures.
- Communicate food orders ensuring accuracy.
- Ensure proper cleaning of checkout and dining area.
- Ensure beverage coolers and snacks are stocked properly and consistently throughout shift.
- Maintain a working knowledge of beverages offered and how to prepare and serve them.
- Serve already prepared alcoholic beverages
- Maintain a memorized knowledge of the menu prices and ingredients; be aware of modifications as necessary.
- Provide assistance with tournament set up and break down.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required by management.
Typical Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Supplemental Information
This work requires the regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting bending reaching hand dexterity (grasping holding keyboarding repetitive movements) reading writing eyehand coordination seeing (near and/or far color depth field of vision) hearing using the telephone contact with government officials and the general public and working inside and alone. Work regularly requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasionally requires wet humid conditions (nonweather) and working near moving mechanical parts; work is generally in a moderately noisy location.
