Job Description
Position Summary:
The Dietetic Technician is an integral part of the nutrition care team. Works under the guidance of the RD and the LD dietitian and has responsibilities in the following assigned areas: interviewing patients performing anthropometric measurements calculating nutrient intakes educating patients and families on specific diets monitoring food quality and meal acceptance and preparing formula and breast milk fortification along with other duties as assigned. Documents patient care notes in electronic medical record (POE).
Education:
Associates degree or successful completion of a Dietetic Technician Program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) is required. Bachelors degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
ServSafe certification preferred.
Required Work Experience:
Recent exposure to clinical food service management and nutritional care. 6 months to one year experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of food composition menu planning and safe food handling.
- Requires a level of analytical ability to assess patient for potential nutritional risk assist in planning suitable diets and in implementing the patients care plan.
- Calculate nutrient intake and recipes.
- Requires interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients families physicians and other healthcare professionals and to provide nutritional instruction.
- Exhibits communication skills necessary to interpret agespecific responses to assessment treatment and interactions with others.
Shift:
Part Time 20 hours)
Rotating Shift; 7:00am 9:30pm

Salary Range: Minimum19.93per hour Maximum32.91per will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
