Job Description
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient and physician use
- Perform patient intake; vital signs medical history and medication review
- Assist physicians in the exam room during physicals and procedures
- Record patient charts in the management system in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- A certification/registration from an accredited program for medical assistants (CCMA CMA RMA or ABROE)ora minimum of two years working as a medical assistant and the ability to get certified/credentialed within six months of employment
- Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
- Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers staff and patients
- Knowledge of phlebotomy patient intake and common medications
- One year of medical assisting experience or a combination of medical education and work experience
- CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
