As an engineer at ASM youll have the opportunities to get involved in a wider scope of work compared to our larger competitors. This work requires thinking outside of the box in an innovative manner so you must have the ability to collaborate with others to deliver creative solutions work well under pressure and pay great attention to small details. Working as part of the Global Quality team this role will work closely with the R&D Engineers (EPI / ALD / PE CVD / VF CVD / PE ALD) with the goal of driving incident management from an engineering standpoint.

Job Description:

Global Quality BU (Business Unit) Engineer. Working as part of the Global Quality team this role will work closely withBusiness Unit Engineers Product Support and other business functionstowardthe goal ofresolving highimpact nonconformance issues that are encountered by our manufacturing & field teams and determined to be of productrelated causes.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a NonConformance Review Board (NCRB) to review NCs determined to be from Productrelated root causes
  • Analyze NC data to identify trends systemic causes and repeat issues
  • Using the above analytical techniques identify the top priority issues summarize and highlight to potential issue owners
  • Work with NC owners on high priority issues toward quick and certain resolution
  • Summarize and share NC performancedatawith Key Product Unit personnel
  • Work with other members of theQualityteamsand management to roll out efficiency and continuous improvement efforts
  • Working with cross functional teamsinstitute methodical approachesto ensure that solutions are focused onpermanent root cause solutions and preventive measures

Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Material Science Engineering; Masters is a plus
  • 710 years of experience in semiconductor industry or capital equipment or related industry in engineer role with a strong focus on quality
  • Experience with Structured Problem Solving (e.g. 8D C4 A3 etc.
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems Quality Assurance Auditsis a plus
  • SixSigma Green; Black Belt is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a global setting
  • Ability to influence persuade and position the valuebuilding quality within products
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use logic and data to make factual assessments
  • Ability to drive resolution at the root cause level to ensure full resolution of quality issues
