Join Our Team as a Medical Translator for Clinical Trials!

Location:Australia Preferably Sydney / Melbourne New Zealand Preferably Auckland

Your Role:The Internal Translator is responsible for linguistically and culturally interpreting the written material in a way that maintains or duplicates the structure and style of the original text while keeping the ideas and facts of the original material accurate.

What Youll Do:

  • Be a strategic partner in delivering translations on time and adhering to our quality commitments to clients
  • Carefully adhere to provided material and instructions to meet the requirements of the clients
  • Research industryspecific terminology to properly reflect the meaning and tone of the source content
  • Crossreference specialized glossaries and translation tools to check the quality of the translation
  • Proofread translated texts for terminology grammar spelling and punctuation accuracy
  • Work with the IQVIA Translations Services team to identify gaps in instructions or any external issue that may affect the commitment to the client.
  • Work with the IQVIA Translations Services team to update or improve glossaries Translation Memories Style Guides and any other internal assets.
  • Provide thorough and relevant feedback on the quality of the translation work performed by other linguists or strategic partners.
  • Be the point of contact for IQVIA Translations Services to manage quality and ontime delivery related to feedback.

What Were Looking For:

  • A degree in Translation Linguistics or a related field. A degree in healthcarerelated field can also be considered with a combination of actual medical translation experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience translating reviewing and editing life sciences content including clinical trial documents.
  • Proficiency in English and Korean (Korean being native language).
  • Strong grasp of medical terminology and clinical trial processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Being able to work according to tight deadlines and independently.
  • Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools.
  • Experience with memoQ is desirable.
