Sustainability Specialist

Advance sustainability in procurement excellence

Are you interested in contributing to sustainability efforts within a global procurement team As a Sustainability Specialist in Group Procurement you will oversee impactful sustainability projects aligned with our corporate strategy and goals. Facilitate impactful sustainability projects in the procurement field

In this role you will support the implementation of our Procurement Strategy by managing sustainability projects. Your responsibility will be to:

  • Facilitate Scope 3 decarbonization projects targeting emissions across the entire value chain.
  • Develop processes and documentation to validate supplier data and launch program reporting.
  • Assess supplier ESG maturity and build engagement and development plans.
  • Prepare data and reports for internal and external use including sustainability reports.
  • Engage in supplier risk assessment and mitigation programs.

You will report to the Sr Manager Procurement Competence Centre and collaborate with Group Sustainability Group Procurement Business Lines and Suppliers. This position is based in Chennai.

Proficient candidate with a keen interest in sustainability

We are looking for a candidate who is motivated by sustainability and has proficient strategic problemsolving abilities. You should be a collaborator with effective time management and organizational skills. Strategic foresight and reimagining practices are essential.

You also have:

  • A university degree in Economics Engineering Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Education about ESG regulations.
  • 3 years of experience in sustainability functions within supply chain/procurement/engineering/manufacturing environments.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
