Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Permit Project Manager to oversee and manage construction permit projects for contractors architects and homeowners in Southern California. This role involves ensuring compliance with local permitting regulations coordinating with various stakeholders and providing problemsolving expertise to navigate the complexities of the permitting process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee construction permit projects for contractors architects and homeowners throughout the permitting process.
- Ensure compliance with the complex construction permitting regulations specific to Southern California.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients government agencies and internal teams ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Review and analyze permitrelated documentation and drawings including the use of AutoCAD (preferred) for drafting and reviewing permit plans.
- Solve permitting challenges by applying critical thinking and problemsolving skills to ensure smooth project progression.
- Monitor timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring permits are obtained in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit permit applications and handle followups with agencies to expedite approval processes.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of regulatory changes and provide guidance on how they impact the permitting process.
Requirements:
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential for client interaction and coordination with various stakeholders.
- Selfdriven and Proactive: Ability to work independently take initiative and make informed decisions.
- Problemsolving: Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving abilities especially when navigating complex permitting challenges.
- AutoCAD proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD is preferred for reviewing and drafting permitrelated drawings though not mandatory.
- Prior experience in permit management construction or related fields.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting adhering to a structured work schedule.
