Lead Backend Developer

What you will do
As a Lead Backend Developer you will be the technical leader in your squad working alongside an Agile Team Lead and Product Analyst. You will drive backend architecture ensure highperformance services and modernize our systems to align with the target architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Squad & Seasonal Initiatives Leadership Ensure the technical quality of backend services mentor developers and align with target architecture. Lead API design scalability efforts and integration strategies. Balance handson coding with longterm system improvements.

• Lead Developer Chapter Participation Contribute to backend development standards simplification initiatives and crossteam improvement projects. Share knowledge maintain documentation and support hiring through technical interviews. Help shape strategic and tactical planning to enhance development processes.

Who you are
You are an experienced software developer with a deep understanding of custombuilt applications and strong expertise in AWS Java SpringBoot microservices and system design patterns (scalability resilience security).

Hard Skills

• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot with experience designing and building scalable highperformance backend applications. Experience with workflow engines like Temporal is a big plus.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs microservices architecture and eventdriven systems.

• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and DevOps practices. Proficiency in database design (SQL and NoSQL) caching strategies and performance tuning.

• Strong security mindset with knowledge of authentication authorization and data protection best practices.

Soft Skills

• Critical thinker and problem solver able to navigate tradeoffs between shortterm deliverables and longterm system health.

• Strong communication skills capable of explaining complex backend challenges to developers architects and business stakeholders.

• Selfmotivated and adaptable embracing change and fostering continuous learning within the team.
