Job Description
Historic Hudson Valley seeks a candidate with seasoned landscaping skills to join the Buildings Grounds & Security Department.
The Part Time Groundskeeper provides handson assistance to the Buildings Grounds & Security Department. Reporting to the Landscape Manager and through collaboration with other departmental staff the Part Time Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining historic landscapes across Historic Hudson Valleys Westchester County sites and Headquarters. The Groundskeeper will assist with seasonally dependent maintenance (i.e. spring planting fall leaf clean up winter snow removal etc.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability in landscape maintenance with a solid background of landscape related work experience.
Candidates must be professional punctual and reliable. They will be able to work successfully with a team and individually. Working conditions include exposure to all weather conditions (rain snow heat etc. daily physical labor and potential exposure to pesticides and other chemicals.
This is a parttime onsite position based in Westchester County NY. Some evening and weekend hours are required during the fall.
