The base pay scale for this position is $68811.60 $75010.00. In addition this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to: scope of role level of experience education accomplishments internal equity budget and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doing
JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Postdoctoral Fellow Dr. Theresa Lu Lab
Department/Service: Research Institute Autoimmunity and Inflammation Program
Job Start Date: April 2025
Position Description:
The Lu Lab has has a new postdoc position open for a motivated individual looking to develop and lead a project studying how events at the skin leads via the lymphatics to modulate autoimmunity in draining lymph nodes. We are at the Hospital for Special Surgery Research Institute part of the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery a specialized Rheumatology and Orthopedics hospital that is top ranked by US World and New Report. We also belong to the Weill Cornell Medical School in New York City and an active part of the Weill Cornell Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis graduate program. Interested applicants should have a PhD MD or MDPhD and should send CV and names of three references to Dr. Lu ator.
Education:
Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree a background in cellular and molecular immunology a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently. High level of motivation and the ability to think critically are expected.
Skills:
Proficient use of computers and software
Knowledge of Rheumatologic terminology is a plus.
Ideal candidates must have good written/oral communication skills in English.
