University of Hawaii Kapiolani Community College Health Education NonCredit (HENC) is seeking applications for the Program AssistantSchool Health Assistant Program (Casual Hire). Important note: Applicants seeking shortterm or parttime work with the University of Hawaii may apply for Casual Hire positions which include administrative professional and technical (APT) or instructionaltype positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees (i.e. paid holidays/leave). Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for fulltime employees and up to 1 calendar year for parttime employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:- Under lead instructors supervision assist in preparing classroom for skills training.
- Assist lead instructor with tabulating student grades and correcting student assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:- Possession of a high school diploma and two 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience as a School Health Assistant; or equivalent education/training or experience.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions per lead instructor.
- Demonstrated ability to work with adult and nontraditional learners both inperson and online.
Desirable Qualifications:- Successful work experience to be able to assist lead instructor in a classroom setting.
