Custodian Driver (Part Time) Eugene OR
Garten is excited to offer an opportunity to join our hardworking and missiondriven team as a Custodian Driver Part Time. Internal and external contacts are often made at the employees own initiative with all contacts being face to face. At least 20 of all contacts are with external customers while 80 are internal or noncustomers.
General Position Summary:
Performs custodial duties to fulfill custodial services contract requirements according to customer specifications. Performs all tasks in a safe manner and meets Garten quality standards. Must be open to learning. May work independently or in cooperation with a team. Even when working independently Garten is a team environment.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Being the primary driver for the team(s) assigned to.
- Performs custodial duties such as vacuuming cleaning restrooms removing trash and other miscellaneous services safely and in compliance with all Garten policies and procedures.
- Monitoring supply needs and stock levels. Places supply requests as needed to maintain adequate inventory. Assists with distribution of supplies.
- Checks quality against task lists and/or other control documents to ensure all items are completed for the site each time.
Specific Job Skills Required:
- Ability to provide own transportation to and from work with valid drivers license acceptable driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance
- Ability to be the primary driver for designated team(s).
- Ability to operate custodial equipment bend twist stoop kneel reach overhead climb stairs and make repetitive motions of the arms/hands.
- Ability to push/pull up to 20 pounds to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance and to carry up to 40 pounds regularly throughout a normal workday.
- Ability to balance attentiveness to quality while concentrating on speed.
- Ability to notice detail.
- Ability to make decisions use independent judgment and/or take independent action and provide customer service.
- Able to read write speak and understand English preferred.
- Ability to actively participate in team development and teamoriented processes.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- Experience in general custodial services preferred; adequate demonstration of equivalent skills and attitude accepted.
- A minimum of three 3 years of driving experience.
- ODL required.
