Job Description

We are looking for a thoughtful leader and confident decision maker who can take on the role of General Manager at a wellestablished local company and help the employees develop and be productive while ensuring profits are on the rise.


Our client is a locally owned windows supplier that has been in operation for over 30 years. They provide professional caring and highly personalized services and have built a reputation for standing behind their products. They have a strong work hard play hard attitude and are very focused on company and office culture. The person in this role will play a key role in supporting this culture. Its a fast paced environment with multiple revenue streams and employees to manage. The right person for this role will need to be excellent with people quick on their feet and ready to spend their days both handling immediate and urgent issues that arise while also doing big picture strategic thinking and planning for the company.


The Role:


As the General Manager you will oversee all staff budgets and operations of the company. Your role will include formulating an overall strategy for the business managing people and building a strong and positive culture within the office. You will be the public face of the company and responsible for maintaining a strong reputation with the public. Quality assurance sales and client interactions will all be a part of your daytoday responsibilities.


Daily Responsibilities Include:


Managing and supporting staff.

The ability to be a goto person responsible for clients needs.

Working through customer service issues alongside the other staff.

Work closely with the sales team and support the sales staff with their daily roles.

Work closely with the owners on all aspects of the business including financial goals and growth goals.

Hire coach and motivate new employees.

Ensure the staff receive adequate training and professional development to continue.

Retain and grow the customer base.

Manage the companies reputation management with employees customers and in the community.

Maintain and promote a positive working environment for all employees.

Ensure and manage all quality assurance for the products.


Your Skills & Experience:


Must have minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role.

Must have high emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.

Must be able to read building plans and blueprints for window design and orders.

Must have a demonstrated background in mentoring coaching and supporting a team.

A background in construction is considered a strong asset.
