Position Summary
San Diego State Universitys Research Support Services is looking for a Research Compliance (Administrative Analyst/Specialist NonExempt)to implement policies and procedures associated with SDSU research ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and university policies. This role involves working closely with the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) to ensure all research activities meet ethical standards and safety requirements. If you have experience working in a laboratory or with animals in a research setting awareness of IACUC/IBC regulations policies and practices and enjoy working in a collaborative environment we want you on our team!

Position Information
Department Summary
The Division of Research and Innovation is an administrative unit with 35 part and fulltime employees. The Vice President for Research and Innovation (VPRI) is responsible for universitywide advocacy for research scholarship and graduate education. The VPRI reports to the President is a member of the Presidents Cabinet and the Academic Deans Council and provides leadership and coordination of all research and graduate activities at San Diego State University. The VPRI provides leadership and guidance to sponsored research activities within the San Diego State University Research Foundation represents the university externally to major funding agencies and oversees research regulatory committees. The Division of Research and Innovation carries out its charge through several units including Research Support Services. Research Support Services is responsible for review of all grants and contracts research assurances regulatory compliance/integrity oversight of regulatory and research promotion committees and liaison with the SDSU Research Foundation.

Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles practices and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelors degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study analysis and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies procedures practices or programs.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $5663 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
