We are recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised manufacturing company based in Co. Antrim. This is a key leadership role within operations reporting directly to the Operations Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability availability and efficiency of all plant and equipment while fostering a proactive maintenance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians instilling a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.
- Implement structured problemsolving initiatives 5Whys FMEA Kaizen) to eliminate recurring issues and enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Optimize spare parts inventory balancing cost efficiency with operational reliability.
- Track and report on key maintenance KPIs identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with health safety and environmental standards.
- Work crossfunctionally with production and other departments to drive efficiency and costsaving initiatives.
The Person:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in maintenance with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Education: Thirdlevel qualification in a relevant discipline; NEBOSH certification desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Strong people management coaching and mentoring capabilities.
- ProblemSolving: Datadriven mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems (Navision SAP) is an advantage.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt working hours as needed.
