Position Summary: This position provides support essential to the MRO division through completing follow up and review of donor information provided in relation to positive drug testing results. The position also plays a critical role in fostering a culture that strives to provide excellence in service to clients through maintaining strict confidentiality as well as prompt responsiveness and helpful courteous interactions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Monitor queue to follow up on MRO requests for documentation from donors needed to determine final test result type.
Contact donors physician dentist pharmacist emergency room or other health care professional to verify prescriptions medications recently administered or request approved release of medical records.
Monitors status answers calls returns messages and follows up diligently until all information is secured and documentation is complete.
Enter documentation into MRO computer system promptly and updates queue to verify results have been completed.
Alert MRO of unusual findings and discrepancies to address potential concerns.
Determine if medication and/or information provided matches MRO request.
Develop ability to evaluate if medication and/or information provided is metabolically correct as a potential explanation for a positive test result
Releases verified negative test results and defer tests that remain positive to MRO
Remain familiar with Medical Procedures drug testing processes and drug classes
Maintain strict confidentiality a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with clients and business partners so as to always promote companys standards of excellence in service.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Skills & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required Associates Degree preferred.
2 years of related MRO experience medical or pharmacy preferred.
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional writing editing and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated through phone presence and email quality ability to identify and quickly escalate issues.
Must show initiative and be reliable to work with some independence once trained.
Detail oriented organized and the ability to problem solve.
Physical Requirements:
Must speak read and write in English. Required to talk listen walk sit stand use hands handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
