The Vaccine Manager will be responsible for the coordination and administration of immunizations within the Worcester Public Schools (WPS) Parent Information Center. The Vaccine Manager will collaborate with school nurses administrators and WPS communityhealth workers.Responsibilities:1. Responsible for coordinating vaccine administration in collaboration with school nurses and community health partners that secure health and academic outcomes for our students.2. Responsible for utilizing data from the WPS electronic health record Snap and the Massachusetts Immunization Information System (MIIS) to produce reports and inform decision making regarding immunization compliance in our district.3. Responsible for collaborating with School Nurses to maintain best immunization compliance for our district.4. Responsible for supporting parents who access the Parent Information Center (PIC) to ensure they feel supported in making appointments for their family.5. Responsible for managing all aspects of the WPS vaccination clinic as administered at the Parent Information Center under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisors and/or Coordinator. This includes ordering maintaining administering and recording of allvaccines within the Massachusetts State Laws.6. Responsible for submitting the monthly billing to Medicare via University of Massachusetts.7. Responsible for nurturing relationships with School Leadership Community Partners Department of Public Health and school nurses to enhance vaccine access and education.8. Responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliance.Qualifications:1. Registered Nurse with current BORN licensure.2. Bachelors degree in nursing or actively pursuing degree.3. Minimum of two years experience utilizing electronic health records (SNAP).4. Skilled in use of Microsoft Office including Excel.5. Ability to work independently to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to collaborate and communicate well with others.6. Experience working in a school setting.7. Preferred but not required Bilingual or multilingual skills.Reports to: Director of the Parent Information Center / Director of Nursing / Nursing supervisorWork year and Day:This is a 44week 220 days) work year. The usual workday is 8:30am 5:00pm.
