the role
GCPL has been increasing investments on brands with advertising spends having grown 2.5X in the last 4 years (now in the top 10 advertisers in India similar increase across other key countries). The media function is run through a global team based out of Mumbai and is split into 2 teams:

Few things that are exciting about this role:
A structured breakdown of the tasks for COE:
1.Brand Understanding: Gain a comprehensive understanding of each brands target group (TG) markets source of growth (SOG) SWOT analysis and competition details from the Brand/Marketing team.
2.Brand Task Input: Collaborate with the brand team to provide inputs for the brand tasks in various markets. (Note: This involves contributing insights based on brand understanding not defining the tasks.
3.Consumer understanding: Track consumer media consumption trends and build these back into GCPLs media product
4.Competition tracking: Track eyeball competition and emerging players in FMCG with a view to bringing in an outsidein view of media effectiveness and learning.
5.Media Solutions:
6.Implementation with COP Team: Work with the COP (Center of Operations and Planning) team to implement these media solutions and ensure alignment with the brand teams.
7.Monitoring and Course Correction: Track the movement of brand KPIs and make necessary adjustments to strategies if needed.
Who are we looking for
Education: MBA in marketing/ media from a leading business school
Experience:
15 plus years of media planning experience with exposure to TV and digital media.
Knowledge of BARC YUMI/ TGI/ GWI.
Proven track record of annual and monthly media planning strategy.
Understanding of measurement frameworks attribution models sales and market research data.
Significant exposure on any large FMCG marketer (either with the advertiser or at a media agency)
Skills:
Senior stakeholder management on strategic and thought leadership initiatives
Presentation skills to leadership teams with the ability to translate data into actionable solutions
Perseverance to test and learn
Leadership of a compact dynamic team
Collaboration across marketing CMI business transformation and other allied functions across countries
